Discussion Question 2
How do you feel about the characters within the first fifty pages of the book?
There is the narrator, who i am surprised to see has a spectrum of emotions, but mainly, seems lonely. After the scene where the little brother dies (I’m trying not to spoil everything here) and the narrator is standing in the snow, waving to the grieving family members, and no one waves back, I find it odd that the narrator would try to make that scene all about himself. What’re your thoughts?
